TOGETHER WE C.A.N.
Community Action with Neighbors
Supporting Families in Crisis
We are a local network of various houses of worship, community leaders and residents that are concerned with people and families in need. Our focus is helping people and families in our community faced with immigration challenges. Our work is entirely volunteer-run and is grounded in interfaith values of neighbors helping neighbors.
Donations
Donations help with navigating daily life, basic needs, and legal services. Some of the work we do involves direct family partners that assist with doctor visits, grocery store runs, English lessons, employment assistance and mentoring children. We also help deliver food, furniture, diapers, and clothes.
Donations can be mailed to: Together We Can at The Peace Abbey, 8 Town Square, Plymouth, MA 02360. Please indicate “Together We Can” in the memo line or with a note. All Donations of $250 or more will receive a letter of acknowledgement for tax deduction purposes.
Resource Database
Our resource database includes a wide variety of organizations and individuals in Massachusetts and beyond who can help if you need food or housing, family resources, or legal, financial, or employment assistance.
Why the Quail?
Quail symbolism centers on protection, community, and humble resilience, often
representing a grounded, nurturing presence. These birds symbolize loyalty and harmony due to their social nature and lifelong mating habits. Historically, they represent provision, safety, and a quiet, unassuming courage.
Much like the quails, we represent:
Family, Community, and Safety
Humility and Grounding
Protection and Awareness
Loyalty and Love
